guitarist Pete Townsend has been swallowed up by a cloud of Anti-matter,
effectively ending his existence on the infinite earths.
"Like an eraser in the hands of God, Townsend’s been wiped off the face
of
all the earths," stated Dr. Richard Hoffman, noted timeline observer.
"No
more arms swinging wildly … no more ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ … he’s done."
The ripple effects are becoming apparent. Classic rock stations have
mysteriously stopped playing Who music … Broadway theatre officials deny
ever seeing or producing the rock opera "Tommy" … even long-time Who
fans
have forgotten Townsend and the music he helped create.
"Who? I don’t know who you’re talking about. My favorite band is the
Rolling Stones," stated Shelley Weinberg, a social worker in New York.
She
said this while removing a picture of Roger Daltrey from her wall. When
asked about the picture, she continued to deny the Who’s existence.
"Picture? What picture? You must be seeing things."

In related news, a homeless man in London claiming to be former Who lead
singer Roger Daltrey was arrested by Scotland Yard officials after yelling
on the streets of London for hours on end.
"Pete’s not a pedophile — I’ve known him for years … he would never
molest a child!" Daltrey yelled, according to witnesses. "He was just
doing
research for his book! Am I the only one who remembers Pete? Why
won’t

Sources within Scotland Yard say they know nothing of this Pete Townsend

Found your blog entry while doing a search on Pete Townsend (same name as your friend) and saw the entry about TSN. Anyhow, The White Beyond is a really good album. I never heard much in terms of Cruxshadows similarities (I think TSN is more varied — a Cruxshadows-esque song like Cardinal Directions has some wacky key changes that other Rogue wouldn't do), but then I don't much like the Cruxshadows, so my comments might be biased.

As page 26 of the FAP report suggested:
“There may also be scope for reviewing the list of events offered through Events for London; it is possible that a detailed critical analysis could generate substantial savings, particularly if entire events such as the ‘Rise Festival’ (which cost over £300,000) were cancelled.”
Really? I thought The Who freaking ROCKED it, and especially for being so old! Pete Townsend was playing damn near flawlessly, and Roger Daltry sang really well for being ancient! I did remark that only rockers can try to dress halfway hip when they're old without looking like complete tools.

In place of the term pedophile, then, let me offer an alternative: pedoscele, from Latin “scelus,” meaning “evil deed.” Try it. Ped-o-skeel: one who does evil to children.
And let's stop calling them “sex offenders,” as if their crimes had anything to do with sex. (Perhaps Jeffrey Dahmer was a “food offender.”) As the poet Linda McCarriston once pointed out, “Saying 'the man had sex with the child' is like saying, 'The man had dinner with the pork chop.'”
The rape of a child is a violent act of contempt, not an expression of sexuality or affection. Pedosceles want us to believe otherwise. This is why they talk of “love” between men and boys. All too often we fall for it. For example, in a newscast about the man who had devastated the childhoods of several generations in my hometown, including mine, a TV commentator said that the defendant had “admitted that he is overly fond of young boys.” (The word “pedophile” is there, in the shadows.) At that pre-trial hearing, one boy said the man had threatened to cut off his genitals if he told. Another boy testified that the man threatened to shoot his little brother. Overly fond indeed.
